Jarrod Anthony Pelayo died on July 13, 2012 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on September 13, 1981 in Yuma, Arizona to Joe and Mary Pelayo.
He was a big fan of UFC fights and his personal favorite was Georges St-Pierre. He loved to work out and spent much of his time at the gym or would run mornings near his home in El Paso. His pride and joy was his 1981 Chevy pick-up truck.
Jarrod was employed at West Star Bank in El Paso as a Loan Funding Specialist as well as attending college in business.
He is survived by his parents Mary Pelayo and Victor Sandoval of Las Cruces, NM; spouse, Priscilla Montez of El Paso, TX; brother, Jesse Pelayo and wife Kristi of Sandsprings, OK; sister, Delilah Bufford and husband Paul of Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews: Gabriel, Isaac, and Kristen Pelayo; Zelia and Robert Barela; Emily and Eva Bufford. Jarrod was preceded in death by his father Joe Pelayo Jr., and by his grandparents Joe Pelayo Sr., Jesus M. and Matilda U. Espino. He will be missed by family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services to celebrate Jarrod’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Getz Funeral Home followed by cremation.
