Joshua W. Garcia, 29, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012. “Josh Pish-Posh” as he was fondly known was born June 12, 1983 in San Diego, CA to William and Juliana Blake Garcia. He had worked for Dona Ana Personal Health Inc and Josephina’s Restaurant after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed music and dancing but his passion was for his family and friends. He is survived by his parents William and Juliana of El Cajon, CA; brother Jesse Romero of San Diego, CA; sisters Tawni Weems of Tacoma, WA, Joleen Salas and husband Tony, Erica Garcia and Sarah Garcia all of San Diego, CA; paternal grandmother Minnie Garcia of Las Cruces; uncles Geno and Donald Garcia, Victor and Fernie Singh all of Las Cruces, and by his niece Anastacia. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate his life are at 10 am on Thursday, June 28, 2012 also at Getz Funeral Home with Fr. Jim Lehman officiating. At the family’s request Joshua will be cremated and will be laid to rest with his grandfather William “Memo” Garcia at Masonic Cemetery at a later date.
